Those grants are usually associated to a research project with a member of the group:
E. Alvarez, A. Donini, B. Gavela, A. Gonzalez-Arroyo, MJ. Herrero, L. Ibanez, C. Lopez, M. Maltoni, C. Munoz, S. Rigolin, A de Rujula.
The only way to apply is through the telematic application which is opened at
the web page of the ministery http://www.micinn.es/portal/site/MICINN/ from February 8th until February 22th.
A (predoctoral) FPI grant associated to the project FPA2009-07908 "String theory tools
for strongly coupled field theories and phenomenology".
Applications from February 8th until February 22th.
Project summary:
The start up of a new generation of experiments in particle physics and cosmology rises the strong need
for a parallel development on the theoretical side. String theory can offer both a useful and conceptually
unique point of view to address this challenge, based on the geometrisation of long standing questions
in field theory. This line of work has seen a remarkable progress in the last years, with the development
of holographic tools to study the strong coupling dynamics of quantum field theories, and the qualitative
step forward in the derivation of string models with a realistic low energy physics.

The Instituto de Fisica Teorica (IFT) UAM-CSIC at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid announces the opening of one Early Research
Position in Theoretical Particle Physics within the european network project ''Unification at the LHC era''
(see http://www.cpht.polytechnique.fr/rtn_aef/Web_page_UNILHC/itn.html for information on the research areas of this project).
The deadline for applications is March 15, 2010.

This informal workshop is dedicated to explore signals of new physics. In particular, it aims to evaluate the physics case
for a new near-detector sensitive to tau-neutrino appearance, with present and future neutrino beams. Non-standard
neutrino interactions, light sterile neutrinos and other physics avenues will be discussed. It will be held at UAM Department
of Theoretical Physics-Institute of Theoretical Physics (IFT).
December 10-11, 2009.
